DESCRIPTION

Witch Hazel Distillate is an extract derived from the leaves, flowers, and bark of the Hamamelis tree. Comprising 85-86% aqueous witch hazel extract and 14-15% ethyl alcohol from cane, it utilizes a natural preservative system to maintain its purity and efficacy.

Renowned as one of nature's finest astringents, Witch Hazel Distillate stands out as an exceptional tonic in skin care preparations. Its mildly styptic properties make it a popular choice for aftershave lotions, where it effectively reduces razor burn and provides a cooling, soothing sensation.

Witch Hazel Distillate is a staple ingredient in toners and in cleansers, particularly beneficial for targeting oily and problem-prone skin types. Its gentle yet effective properties help regulate oil production, cleanse without drying, and minimize the appearance of pores.

Experience the versatile benefits of Witch Hazel Distillate and elevate your formulations with this natural powerhouse.

DIRECTIONS AND SUGGESTED USAGE

  • Natural Makeup Remover: Create a gentle yet effective makeup remover by combining 2 tablespoons each of Witch Hazel, Jojoba Carrier Oil (or Sweet Almond Carrier Oil), and filtered water in a clean dispenser bottle. Shake well before use.

  • Soap-Free Face Wash: Formulate a face wash ideal for oily or acne-prone skin by mixing ¼ cup Witch Hazel, ¼ cup Rose Water, and 2 teaspoons Vegetable Glycerin or Aloe Vera Gel in a clean amber glass bottle. Shake well to combine all ingredients thoroughly.

  • Gentle and Effective Shampoo: Make a soothing, cleansing shampoo by combining ½ cup distilled water, 1 tablespoon Witch Hazel, 1 tablespoon Jojoba Carrier Oil, and 2 tablespoons Aloe Vera Gel in a glass bowl. Slowly add ¼ cup liquid Castile Soap, stirring gently to prevent soap suds. Add 3 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil, whisk thoroughly, and pour into an airtight container.

  • Simple Witch Hazel Toner: Combine 80% Witch Hazel Distillate, 10% Rose Water or distilled water, 5% Aloe Vera Gel, 2% Glycerin, 2% botanical extracts (such as Chamomile or Green Tea), and 1% essential oils (optional for fragrance and added benefits, e.g., Lavender or Tea Tree) in a clean mixing container. Stir gently to ensure all ingredients are fully integrated.
