That’s where Sodium Hyaluronate Low Molecular Weight (LMW) comes in – it’s a water-soluble form of Hyaluronic Acid that offers superior skin penetration and stability. It has a natural capacity for holding water that is 1000 times its weight – makes it an exceptional hydrating agent and thus a popular ingredient in the cosmetic industry. Sodium Hyaluronate LMW is widely used in rejuvenating moisturizing products intended to address the appearance of wrinkles.
Hyaluronic Acid is a polysaccharide occurring naturally in the human body that works to support the body’s collagen production and helps maintain elasticity. This natural molecule is specifically found in the hair, skin, eyes, nerves, and joints.
Sodium Hyaluronate occurs in various molecular sizes and weights, each demonstrating a different benefit to the skin. Smaller molecules penetrate the skin more easily, helping restore the moisture barrier while promoting firmer looking skin. The low molecular weight of Sodium Hyaluronate LMW is achieved through the bio-fermentation of non-GMO plant resources. Sodium Hyaluronate is typically used between 0.5-2%.
Important Note: Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid) Low Molecular Weight (LMW) will not form a viscous gel in water. But it can penetrate the skin more easily and have a better nourishing and regenerating effect once absorbed.
DIRECTIONS & SUGGESTED USAGE
- Smooth-as-Silk Skin: To make a moisturizing face wash, blend with Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid) LMW before diluting in water to avoid clumping. Prior to commercial manufacturing, conduct testing to ensure the product has the desired consistency and effects.
- Serum for Lustrous Locks: Create a Sodium Hyaluronate serum that can be applied to shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in hair products. First, add 2.5 g Sodium Hyaluronate Raw Material to 60 ml water and 1.25 g Glycerine. Blend the mixture with a stick blender until it reaches a gel-like consistency. The approximate shelf life of this serum is 2 weeks. For a longer shelf life, a preservative should be added. Sodium Hyaluronate is gentle enough for regular use.
