Caryophyllene

This constituent has two main forms: beta-caryophyllene (β-Caryophyllene or BCP) and trans-caryophyllene (TC.) Caryophyllene is a constituent of Clove and Rosemary oils and has a strong, spicy, woody odor that is characteristic of Black Pepper.
