There are two structural isomers of Pinene: α-pinene and β-pinene. Both forms of the constituent are important components of Pine resin, giving the trees their distinctive scent. They can be found in many other coniferous plants as well as in non-coniferous plants such as Big Sagebrush. Rosemary is known to contains high levels of Pinene.
