DESCRIPTION

This variety of Rose Geranium originated in South Africa, but its captivating aroma quickly traveled across the globe to Madagascar, Egypt, Morocco, Italy, Spain, and France. By the 17th century, it was wildly popular in Europe.

In its native South Africa, people commonly sipped herbal teas made from the leaves of Pelargonium roseum X asperum for medicinal purposes. People also grew Rose Geranium around their homes as protection from negative energy.

Today, Rose Geranium Oil of South Africa is a staple in natural perfumery and cosmetics. Its sweet, citrusy, and herbaceous aroma and rosy floral note makes high-end Rose Oils more accessible and can be made to imitate many other fragrances.
